Our truly unique and delicious premium rums include Kauaʻi White, Gold, Dark, Spice, Coconut, Coffee, Cacao and Reserve Cask Strength Single-Barrel Aged Hawaiian Rum, as well as ready-to-drink Mai Tai, Rum Punch and Pineapple Passion products. We constantly experiment with seasonal releases in our distillery and collaborate with our neighbors to develop new and exciting offerings.
Distilled, blended and bottled by Kōloa Rum Company Kalaheo, Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi, 34% ABV/68 Proof.
Kōloa Coffee is made from the mash of raw cane sugar, distilled in an impressive vintage 1,210 gallon, steam-powered copper pot still and cut with filtered water from the ancient Mount Waiʻaleʻale.
The Spirit itself is a collaboration between the Kauaʻi Coffee Company and Kōloa Rum Company.
The rum is distilled 2 times at 160 – 180 ABV.
This spirit looks and pours like a rich cup of coffee with a deep brown, opaque hue surrounded by a light mahogany meniscus. Several swirls of this spirit in the glass reveal a hint of real coffee particulate that gather in the slow running amber kissed legs.
Freshly ground and brewed Arabica and Robusto beans with the sweet smell of molasses, rich dark chocolate and undertones kissed with a touch of Lilikoi.
This intensely rich, coffee-flavored rum is slightly lower in ABV, which facilitates the amazingly complex flavors achieved. The initial sip is a highly robust espresso coffee balanced with white cane sugar. The spirit initially presents itself as a well-crafted espresso cocktail. Then, it’s back to a dry finish of light vanilla, hints of chocolate and a wonderful coffee flavor that can only be achieved by a great barista. Second and third sips of this elixir present hints of tropical fruit, hazelnut and stone fruits in the finish. This is a remarkable spirit
Our Kaua‘i Reserve Cask Strength Single-Barrel Hawaiian Rum is artfully distilled and carefully aged in American White Oak Barrels for a minimum of 5 years at our distillery in Kalaheo, Kaua‘i. Each single-barrel batch yields approximately 210 bottles, which are carefully inspected and numbered to ensure quality. The rum is bottled at cask-strength, from 110-124 proof depending on the barrel.
The remarkable flavor, color and aroma of each batch is a reflection of time, temperature and humidity over the aging process.
Intense chocolate color, with rich deep undertones, resembling fudge.
Fragrant notes of cinnamon, orange, roasted almond and charred oak.
The rum is remarkably smooth on the palate with subtle sweetness from the pure sugarcane offering flavors of toasted vanilla, orange zest, brown butter and honey that linger through the long, warm finish.
